How to make a comic about your dog (or cat, or parrot)
Describing your pet so the AI draws them right, casting yourself as the sidekick, and the story shapes that make pet comics work.

Short answer
Describe your pet in words (breed and colors, one physical quirk, one personality trait) and use photos only for the humans. Pick a shape that always works, such as a secret life, an investigation or a brutally honest ranking, cast yourself as the sidekick, and choose modern cartoon, chibi or rubber hose for fun, or watercolor for a memorial comic.

Describe the pet, photograph the humans
Photo characters are for people; pets are drawn from your words, and honestly they come out better that way. Give the generator the three things that make your animal instantly theirs: breed and colors, one physical quirk (the ear that never stands up), and one personality trait (deep suspicion of the vacuum).
The three shapes that always work
- Secret life: innocent by day, hero by night. The gap is the joke.
- Investigation: the missing sock, the doorbell conspiracy, the red dot files.
- Ranking: your pet reviews parks, guests or nap spots with brutal honesty.
Cast yourself as the sidekick
Upload your own photo and appear as the loyal but slightly dim assistant. The pet-as-lead, human-as-sidekick dynamic is the engine of every great pet comic, and seeing your actual face in the panels makes the gift version land twice as hard.
Styles that flatter animals
Modern cartoon keeps pets expressive and clean. Chibi maximises cuteness. Rubber hose makes everything funnier. Watercolor is the one for memorial comics, gentle and warm.
